This is from their first their first album, The Bobs. As with many of their original songs, this one tells a story about a hapless lover – in this case, a guy who is in love with a woman in the apartment next to his. He doesn’t see her all that much, but he hears her all the time. Well, her and her jerk of a boyfriend.

The lead singer of this song is Gunnar Madsen, who was blonde when the song first came out and bald by the time of the video. When I saw them perform, he was still with them, but he’s since left the band and pursued something of a solo career.
