1850. “Novocaine Rhapsody” by Dean Gray

Fair Use Video:

Dean Gray combines Green Day’s “Novocaine,” Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and tosses in a dash of U2′s “Bullet The Blue Sky.”

I think what’s important is that Gray focuses on the “nothing really matters to me” aspect of Queen’s tune, which creates an interesting juxtaposition with Green Day’s exhortations to “give me novocaine.” I guess that internal numbness can lead to numbness to external events, too. Certainly an appropriate messages considering the themes of American Idiot.
