M-619. “Make Me Bad” by Korn

Track Six was released as the Second Single from 1999′s Issues in February 2000.

In this Nü Metal track, you can hear the extra bottom end on the treble line. This is do in part to the 7th string added the bottom guitar tuned to “B.” It is the same “B” that you will find as the top string on most Five String Basses. Korn’s guitarist “Munky” is credited in taking the (Ibanez) 7-string guitar in a different direction than what Steve Vai was doing. This gave birth to that trademark Nü Metal Sound. [1]

On this song and most of Korn’s music since the early days they tuned the whole guitar down one full step from (low to high) B-E-A-D-G-B-E to A-D-G-C-F-A-D.
