M-702. “Inferno” by Judgement Day

Not long after the recording and releasing Dark Opus in November 2004, the band went on a hiatus. Lewis Patzner returned to school to concentrate on receiving his Cello Performance Degree from the prestigious the The Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD. The Peabody Institute is now a part of Johns Hopkins University which IMHO is the best damn University on the East Coast; Not to mention they are home to Nine Time NCAA Lacrosse Champion Blue Jays.

Also during this hiatus, Anton Patzner began touring and performing with Bright Eyes on a recommendation by Cursive, whom of he met through a chance encounter while busking outside of their performance at The Great American Music Hall. [1] Anton also performed for several other bands in the studio like a “session” violinist. [2]

Track Nine from 2004′s Dark Opus is full on assault on your aural senses mimicking the feeling of facing a daunting inferno.

Their Music Video for this song starts off with the band warming up in the “Classical” tradition while showing them getting the stage set-up. It is hosted by Tom’s Farmacy’s [3] YouTube Channel

As a special bonus, here is a video of Lewis performing Schubert with his Aunt Patty on Thanksgiving Day, 2007. It is testament to the passion that he has for the Cello and playing music, be it Classical or Metal. Every note bowed reflects his passion for the art.

[3] Tom’s Farmacy was drummer Jon Bush’s band [4] prior to playing for Judgement Day. A lot of their live Berkley performances and their first videos were hosted on that band’s channel.
