Parker’s only top 40 hit in the United States was this track from his 1985 release, Steady Nerves. I bought the 45 of “Wake Up (Next To You)” without having heard it, based largely on how much I enjoyed “Temporary Beauty.”

This song was a hit, but its not an especially excellent song. I regret that this is the final song I have this time around from Mr. Parker. I am going to get some more of his stuff before the next time we pass through the letter G again.
