“Say It Isn’t So” was a huge hit from a compilation album, which is a fairly unusual thing. Once again, the thing that makes me dig this song in Daryl Hall’s vocal, which weaves around the drum track like a cat around your legs, if you’ll forgive the tortured metaphor.

Sort of like “Out Of Touch,” despite the fact that “Say It Isn’t So” was a huge hit, I felt like it was a little secret that only I knew. Ah, youthful delusion!

Daryl Hall played this one with producer/singer Butch Walker on Live From Daryl’s House. Its a sublime, lovely version of the song.
