There are a couple of other fan versions of “You Make My Dreams” that are worth looking at. There’s this greatest-of-all-lipdubs:

They filmed that backwards and then played it forwards. So basically, they learned to lipsynch the song backwards. Rock.

There’s also this great Keyboard Cat version.

There’s not a whole lot I can say after that. “You Make My Dreams” was a blue whale sized hit from Voices. Its appropriate that it was combined with that footage of Helen Hunt hurling herself out a window on cocaine because, really, this song is a kind of musical crack. You can play it on repeat forever and you just want to hear it again. Bow before its terrifying and awesome majesty.
