What ho! I didn’t even realize this song was a separate track from “Statecontrol.” All right, listening to it on its own, “Inspection Wise 1999″ is a short, throbbing song that boils down everything that is awesome about The Hives into an under two-minute track. They get in, play it, get out and (with any luck) will have melted your face off. Its a bit restrained on album, but listen to it live:

Maybe I’m reacting more to the energy of watching them live rather than any actual aural difference. I don’t know, but live this song rocks.
