Another excellent track from Secrets, the synthesizer lines on “Liar” would not sound out of place on a Kraftwerk album – and I say that as high praise. It sounds like The Human League was finally comfortable with their legacy and started following their own peculiar muse again. While this song wasn’t a single (and who knows if have done them any good to release it as a single, seeing as how their label folded right after this record was released) but I think it would have been a big dance club hit had it been.
