We end our trip through Duran Duran with one of their finest songs, the album track “The Chauffer.” That video is great, by the way, and stands the test of time better than many of their others.

Anyhow, what makes “The Chauffer” great is keyboardist Nick Rhodes, who really lets his innner Gary Numan out for this track. Duran Duran wanted hits, but they always were this close to being an art band. On this track, they achieve a nice balance of artsiness and commercial savvy.
