M-592. “Falling” by Lacuna Coil
At the end of 1997, Ethereal was signed by Century Media. I’ve mentioned before this Independent and non-RIAA label. They are a purveyor of a wide range of the best metal out there today. They also heavily promote their acts including giving away MP3s to the masses to generate interest. More on that later.
After signing with Century Media, the members of Ethereal found out that the name was already in use by a Greek Band. They changed there name to Lacuna Coil (Italian for “Empty Spiral”) and released their eponymous debut EP. Falling is Track Five.
Here is a fan video with some beautiful images to go along with it.
Falling was later shortened and released as Falling Again (Track 9) on In a Reverie which I also have a copy of. We will not revisit this song but coming up next we will sample some more from that album.
Here is a Live Performance Concert video for Falling Again. I chose it from the long list of options because it gives you chance to hear how tight the band’s performance and how pure Cristina Scabbia’s vocals are.

Oh, totally. Yes, a good record moves album, but a great show moves feet - know what I mean?
