Track Three was the first single released from 2006’s Karmacode and their third single overall.

This one starts off really strong but falls into the more melodic arrangement and vocals. Unto itself, it is a good Lacuna Coil song, but when you listen to in in context of their oeuvre it gets lost. It fits, yes, but shows little, if any, growth as a band. It stands to me as the hallmark with my dismay with this album.

Having said all that; It is still worthy of making it to the limited domain known as my MP3 player. Of course I don’t hate this song, but it doesn’t make me jump up and down with fan boy enthusiasm like I did with the earlier works.

    Its funny, due to its size, a lot of songs I don’t like do make it to my iPod. For the sake of completeness. Heh.

    Man, the volume level on the official video is way too low.

    Yeah, this one sounds a little generic hard rock, which is a shame. I miss the louder guitars from the earlier albums, though I think the vocals have improved significantly since their early days. Man can she sing.

    Nice little drum solo about 2:20 in, but it doesn’t go anywhere.

    I have tons of sheer crap on my computer. But I can’t bear to part with it. I am more selective these days as to what I download.
