2256. “Take It To The Limit” by The Eagles

Live:

Man, we get two seconds of Glenn Frey’s intro there are he comes across as a total douche. What the hell?

That said, Randy Meisner was the song’s original singer:

Sounds much better when he sings it.

“Take It To The Limit” was another classic single from 1974’s One Of These Nights album.

This was another song that got a lot of airplay in the Michaels household when I was a kid. I used to get confused about songs sometimes. I knew there was a song called “Live And Let Die” kicking around out there and I couldn’t really understand what Meisner was singing, so there were times when I thought that this song was “Live And Let Die.” You figure, you here a song once or twice every six months when you’re seven and your brain is going to get confused.

“Take It To The Limit” isn’t exactly a favorite, but it is a pretty song and I think its aged pretty darn well.
