2320. “You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away” by Elvis Costello
We’re going to be spending the next month at least examining the work of Elvis Costello. No other artists is as thoroughly represented in my iTunes library as the man born as Declan Patrick MacManus.
Now, I have hundreds of Elvis Costello tracks including tons of obscure and bootleg recordings. This means that there are going to be times where there just isn’t anything to listen to.
This is one of those times.
Released in 1991 on Acoustic Tales Live - a bootleg recording - this cover of Beatles classic morphs into Costello’s own “New Amsterdam.”
